🚀 COURSE CONTENT
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) course gives you the essential lifesaving skills you need as a phlebotomist or healthcare professional working without direct supervision. Whether you’re responding to an emergency in clinic, in the community, or on a home visit, this course prepares you to act confidently and effectively.
You’ll learn how to respond to adult, child, and infant emergencies, with a focus on different techniques used for each age group. This makes the course a perfect companion to our Paediatric Phlebotomy training.
Delivered by experienced army Combat Medical Technicians (CMTs) and paramedics, you’ll gain practical insights and hands-on skills from professionals who have worked under pressure in the most challenging environments.
Topics include:
🩸 Treating shock and dressing external wounds
🤢 Helping choking casualties (adults and children)
😴 Responding to unconscious patients
🚑 Managing life-threatening events: Stroke, Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest
⚡ Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
❤️🩹 Performing high-quality CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
🪖 Techniques and tips used in frontline emergency medicine

We use state-of-the-art QCPR Resuscitation Mannequins to give you real-time feedback on your CPR technique. You’ll also get hands-on with:

🪖 Military-grade first aid equipment you can add to your own kit
⏰ TIMINGS
Course runs 09:30 to 13:00.
It is scheduled in the morning, just before our CPD Paediatric Phlebotomy course — perfect if you’d like to make a full day of it.

📜 ACCREDITATION
Our courses, provided by iN phlebotomy training, are CPD certified and internationally recognised.
This course counts as 4 CPD hours.
