Mobile Phlebotomy?
Having blood taken in your own home is safe, similar to community nursing, and has a number of benefits:
- Choose an appointment time to suit you, evenings and weekends are no problem, no need to take time off work.
- We can do NHS blood tests too, as long as your GP has given you a blood form.
- Skip lengthy NHS queues, you can book an appointment as early as the next day.
- Venous blood tests have proven to produce far more accurate and reliable results than capillary (fingerprick) tests.
- Being in a more comfortable environment, in your own home, is proven to reduce your anxiety, and therefore reduce any pain you feel during the blood draw.
It’s really helped my anxiety over blood tests to have such a nice person who knows what they’re doing and is so reassuring.
