This hands-on course builds on the skills taught in our CPD Venepuncture Practices & Techniques course and takes things to the next level. You’ll learn:

🛠 EQUIPMENT
We use state-of-the-art QCPR Resuscitation Mannequins to give you real-time feedback on your CPR technique. You’ll also get hands-on with:

Then we’ll move on to Paediatric Phlebotomy, when you will have the opportunity to get hands-on with:

🧬 Guthrie cards
🦋 Butterfly needles
You’ll also practise appropriate patient positioning using mannequins and training arms, and you’ll have the opportunity to perform finger prick techniques on your fellow students for realistic practice.
⏰ TIMINGS
Paediatric Phlebotomy includes an online section which takes around 3–4 hours to complete at your own pace.
The face-to-face day starts with Basic Life Support, before moving onto practical techniques of Paediatric Phlebotomy.
🕜 Course starts at 09:30, and depending on group size, typically finishes around 16:30–17:00.

We keep face-to-face classes small for focused, hands-on support.
👥 Minimum: 2 learners
👥 Maximum: 8 learners
📜 ACCREDITATION
Our courses, provided by iN phlebotomy training, are CPD certified and internationally recognised.
You’ll receive two separate accredited certificates. This course counts as 10 CPD hours.

Lunch and drinks provided, and many locations have a kettle and microwave on site.
